ludiloom Alpha Release is Out!
2009-04-30

|
ludiloom Public Alpha Test is up and running! Way ahead before deadline, we may add.
It's running on Linux and Windows (soon, also Mac).
A new online service from TAPESTRY, ludiloom IS FOR YOU TO DEVELOP YOUR OWN GAMES and immediately distribute them.
Game editing can be made, while others play the game, allowing for evolutionary type of games or on-the-fly bug corrections. An hybrid p2p architecture guarantees availability & scalability, at minimum server's load & costs.
Intended for small independent game studios or producers to develop and distribute their games, and also for artists, not aiming to create their own game but rather contributing with the individual 3D art and other media elements needed.
Any game is developed combining ludiloom's in-built real-time editing functionalities, libraries of media items (meshes, textures, sounds, fonts, etc..) and the basic programming language of LUA (an API of functions extending LUA can also be used).
This alpha release marks the beginning of the public testing phase of this new innovative service, and already a lot can be done about that ingame creation and distribution, although You can expect a long list of features to be introduced on an as ready basis throughout the next months.
For fun, register and try out the little game Back to the Yard, the 1st game made in just 1,5 months! Art included.
With time and the help of both Players & Creators, we hope that soon there will be many more user-generated games available.
Take a chance... and get involved to change the Game-Making Game!
